I rode in on my Penny farthing(the dominant mode of transport for us Brits) to a eating est named Macdonald's., and I was seated a little too high to peer through the window. I rang the bell for service several times and it was almost ten minutes before one of their waiters arrived to bring the meal of my choice. The fillet of fish and caviar was passable at best. The lamb cutlets were a little rare for my liking and though the potatoes were passable, the apple crumble was served far too cold- and it's little wonder it did- they brought it at the same ruddy time as my main meal.

A former friend recommended this establishment for luncheon. I made it my business to contact the management by pigeon post with an irate letter citing a dozen complaints with their level of service and a dozen more reasons why I will not frequent their eatery again.
